Prepare a ZIP of 3 to 30 coherent designs, upload it and train your collection; then check its cover and style cohesion.

Collections Trainer studies a set of designs from the same line and creates a collection: a new model that generates ideas in that style.

Step by step

  1. Prepare the ZIP. Between 3 and 30 designs in JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 25 MB in total. The more coherent they are with each other (same hand, same line), the more faithful the style.
  2. Open Collections Trainer from the Create menu.
  3. In "Training zip", upload the file.
  4. In "Collection name", type the name. It will also be the new model's name.
  5. Check the cost on "Run" and start it. In our tests it takes between two and five minutes.
  6. The result is a card with your new collection: open it to start generating.

How to prepare a good ZIP

  • Coherence beats quantity. Fifteen designs in the same style work better than thirty mixed ones. If you have two very different styles (say, one typographic and one illustrated), train two collections.
  • Include the characters you want back. If a character only appears in one design, the collection will barely know it.
  • Use sharp, good-sized images, not thumbnails.
  • The signature counts. If almost all your designs carry the same signature or brand mark, the new designs will carry it too.
  • A little variety helps if you want to explore with "outsider": those two or three different designs become styles you can ask for when generating.
  • Don't worry about the extras. Hidden files, the __MACOSX folder, files that aren't JPG, PNG or WEBP and repeated images don't count.

What to check afterwards

In "My collections", each collection shows how many designs it was trained on ("Trained on N designs"), its "Style cohesion" and its cover, which is the most representative design of the set. It shows as "high", "medium" or "low". If it says "low", try training again with designs that are more alike.

A collection can't be retrained: to change or add to its designs, train a new one.

The collection is born private: only you can see it until you change its visibility in My collections.

Don't have the designs to hand? Try Design Scraper. Once your collection is ready, continue with generating with a collection.
