Templates and collections handle different jobs. These are the ones they suit best, so you don't start from scratch.
With a template
- Birthdays and anniversaries: your best-selling design, with fields for the name and the age.
- Father's or Mother's Day: their photo inside a design that already works, redrawn in the design's style or kept as a photo.
- Pets: "upload a photo of your dog" and the dog appears inside the design.
- Groups and events: hen and stag parties, clubs or teams, with the group's name, the date or the shirt number. Everyone in the same T-shirt.
- Companies: the customer's logo inside a design for trade fairs, anniversaries or team events.
With a collection
- A brand's seasonal campaigns: Christmas, Halloween, summer or Father's Day, with the collection's line work, characters and signature. Use "core" and "closest".
- More catalogue for a character: "the collection's sheep surfing", "…at a concert". Name or describe it in the prompt.
- Brainstorming in a niche that already sells: "Surprise me" with four designs, a few times, and keep the best.
- Trying new styles: "outsider" draws designs from the collection's minority styles.
- Dark and light garments: run the same idea with "Background color preference" set to "black" and to "white".
A format for each product
- T-shirt: 1:1 or 3:4.
- Mug or banner: 16:9.
- Phone case or stories: 9:16.
- Art print: 4:3 or 3:4, depending on the orientation.
And if it's going on a garment, ask for the transparent background with "Remove background".
Step by step: both together
- Generate new ideas with a collection and keep the best one.
- In the Studio, click the T on that result: Template Trainer opens with that image as the starting design.
- Ask for the fields you want (name, age, photo) and train the template.
The result is a new design, in your brand's style, that every customer can personalise.
More in generating with a collection and what makes a template work well.
