Templates and collections both start from your designs, but they do different things. Choosing well saves you trainings and credits.
The difference
| Template | Collection | |
|---|---|---|
| Learns from | One design | 3 to 30 designs |
| Repeats | That exact design | The style: the drawing hand, the colours, the kind of content |
| You change | The photo, the name, the slogan | The idea: a text, an optional image or "Surprise me" |
| Trained with | Template Trainer | Collections Trainer |
Both are born private and count towards your plan's limit.
Step by step: how to decide
- Think about what will change from one order to the next.
- If only the customer's details change (their photo, their name, a date) and the design must always be the same, train a template.
- If you want new designs that look like they belong to the same line, on different themes, train a collection.
- If you don't have the line's designs on your computer yet, look at Design Scraper to gather them.
When to use it
- A personalised gift with the customer's photo: template.
- Twenty new designs in the style of a line you already sell: collection. The catalogue has examples, such as the Kukuxumusu and Snoopy collections.
Continue with training a collection, generating with a collection or, if yours is a template, training a template.
