A collection turns a short idea into designs in its style. You can give it a text, an image or both, or let it come up with the content itself.
Step by step
- Open your collection from "My collections" or pick one from the catalogue.
- In "Prompt", describe the design and put the exact text you want printed in quotes, for example:
a surfing cat with the text "Wave after wave". - If you like, upload a person, a pet or a logo in "Image" to blend it into the design.
- Adjust the options:
- "Aspect ratio": square, landscape or portrait.
- "Background color preference": the background the design will sit on (black, dark, white or light); its colours adapt to it. "auto" keeps the collection's usual background.
- "Style variety": "core" keeps the main style; "mixed" occasionally adds the collection's side styles; "outsider" only uses its less common styles.
- "DNA semblance": "closest" stays as close as possible to the drawing hand; "allow_wiggle" interprets it more freely.
- "Num outputs": how many designs you want, up to 4. Each one gets its own prompt.
- "Remove background": returns PNGs with a transparent background.
- Check the cost on "Run" and start it.
Writing good prompts
- Put the text you want printed in quotes. It's kept exactly as written, without translating or shortening it. Short works best: up to three lines of about eight words.
- Without quoted text, no text is invented, except the collection's signature if it has one.
- With a photo, the text is enough:
"dad, you're the best"and a photo of your dad. The photo is redrawn in the collection's style and takes up at most 40% of the design's height. - If the collection has its own characters, name or describe them: "the collection's white sheep surfing".
- Don't ask for colours or fonts: the collection sets the style. To change the background, use "Background color preference".
No ideas? Surprise me
Tick "Surprise me" and the collection proposes the content of each design. It ignores any text and image you entered. If you leave both the prompt and the image empty, it surprises you too.
How to explore a collection
- Start with "core" and "closest" and ask for four designs: does it capture the style?
- Run the same idea with "mixed" or "outsider" to see its other styles.
- If the designs look too much like the originals (repeated layouts or phrases), try "allow_wiggle".
- Keep the best: a collection is meant for generating a lot and choosing.
