A workflow chains several tools into a single step: for example, generate a design, remove its background and build a grid with the variants. Once created, it works like any other model: it has its own page, form, price in credits and API endpoint.
Step by step: deciding whether it pays off
- Think of a job you often do with several models in a row, passing the result of one to the next with Remix.
- If the sequence is always the same, turn it into a workflow: you describe it once and afterwards you just fill in the inputs.
- If you decide on the fly what to do with each result, keep chaining by hand with Remix.
When to use it
- You produce many designs with the same steps.
- You want to repeat a step for each item in a list (up to 10 per step).
- You want to run the whole chain with a single API call.
What you need to know
- You need the Pro plan or higher. Pro allows 15 workflows; Premium, 50; and Business, 500.
- A workflow can have up to 20 steps and make up to 50 model calls per run.
- You pay the sum of the steps that run. The "Run" button shows the cost beforehand; if the number of items can't be known yet, it shows a maximum ("up to N credits").
