Cost, balance and limits

Before you start a large batch, it's worth knowing how much it will cost, whether you have the credits and how fast you can call the API.

• Quote: POST /api/v1/quote/{owner}/{name} with the same inputs returns the price in credits without creating a generation.
• Balance: GET /api/v1/balance tells you your credits and your plan.
• Limits: each plan allows a number of requests per minute with your API key: 300 on Starter, 600 on Pro, 1,200 on Premium and 3,600 on Business.
• 429: you've gone over a limit. Wait the seconds given in the Retry-After header and try again. Polling the status every few seconds uses up a lot of requests: a webhook avoids that.
